As a teenager why did you attend SYC on a regular basis?

As a teenager I attended SYC because it was a great place to have amazing fellowship with other Christian youth. The teachings at SYC are helpful life lessons that are fun and involving for the kids. There are many denominations at SYC and for just a few youth groups in town SYC does a great job of including each and everyone of the students that attend. It was a great place for me to fellowship and gave me a great foundation to continue on in my walk with God.

Looking back now, what kind of impact did SYC have on your life?

SYC gave me the foundation that I needed to start out on the right path with God. It grounded me in His ways so that I could grow to be the man He wanted me to be. I gained a lot of great friends through the youth center and the one relationship that I needed grew exponentially from my encounters. I was truly blessed to have such a fundamentally grounded and Christ based organization to help me through the hard time and to show me that the only way to look in any situation is up.

Why should someone support SYC?

Stillwater Youth Center has been such a monumental influence on my life and more importantly with my walk with Christ. I hope that many other people have seen this in their lives or the lives of their children. It truly is a great program and a very healthy environment for kids to just chill. Supporting SYC gives kids the opportunities I had. I wasn’t the best child in the world but they were always very accepting and supportive. It is just an amazing youth centered organization and it is one of my favorite memories from High School. .
