As a teenager why did you attend SYC on a regular basis?

I probably attended SYC on a regular basis because it was so much fun. We had a great group of kids going there, and Louis and Joanie had such engaging topics that it was fun to keep going back. I also kept attending because everyone cared so much and gave each other support that it was a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Looking back now, what kind of impact did SYC have on your life?

SYC definitely helped me with my spiritual growth. I hate to think of where I would be right now if I hadn’t ever been introduced to this amazing group of people. SYC gave me some of the best memories and friendships that I have ever had, and I am truly thankful that I can look back on those times and owe my spiritual growth to it.

Why should someone support SYC?

Supporting SYC is more than just donating a few dollars to a good cause. It’s about supporting and encouraging those who may be struggling on their spiritual journey, or are just starting out, and showing them that the journey they are on is the most critical one. The well-being of our spirits should be the most important thing in our lives, and if there is any chance that the people or programs offered at SYC could help contribute to enforcing the importance and growth of our journey, then this is why we should help support SYC.
