Catch The Vision

Stillwater youth, as a group, is the VISION before us -- the youth are our inspiration. Stillwater Youth Center is the means to a goal. A dedicated band of Christian volunteer leaders and inspired advisors are working diligently to bring the dream to reality. Currently, many youth from third grade through high school, from Columbus as well as from the surrounding area, are already committed to meeting together at scheduled times for study, fun, and fellowship. They are becoming leaders by pursuing goals that require commitment; they, plus the adult mentors who come alongside, already are the Stillwater Youth Center. We are working forward toward a time when that nucleus becomes a spiritual driving force in our community offering all our youth an attractive alternative to the tragic headlines of today. Come join us, support us, and let us serve your sons and daughters! The Stillwater Youth Center program is based on the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs and interests of our youth. The Center offers exposure to and exploration of youth concerns under the close guidance of adult Christian mentors and staff including a full time Youth Director. With the exception of the Youth Director, all are volunteers serving without remuneration; 100% of our contributions are directly returned to our youth.

About the kids . . .

The youth of Stillwater County are willing to fight to improve their chances for spiritual survival and to minister to their peers and to their community. Many of you have seen the fruits of their effort. They are actively involved in community service through works as well as through demonstrations of faith. They are actively involved in Youth Center fund raising and the joy of acceptance; they invite other youth to join them in study, recreation, and fellowship in a safe and loving environment apart from the distractions of materialism and the temptations of momentary pleasure.
